Big Smoke Burger is a Canadian eatery known for gourmet hand crafted and fresh burgers and fries.
We (Foodies) never chose to talk about the name of the restaurant but if you are wondering what is the story behind the name ‘Big Smoke Burger’, then I have got the answer! The reason is as simple as it could be-Frying patties can create smoke in the whole kitchen and just make everywhere smell like hamburgers. (Yes, really).
(Tip: My parents and I decided to sit outside as it was windy but if you want good food pictures, then sit inside)
One of the server explained the simple yet informative menu and suggested their best burgers which made us even more excited!
- Signature Burgers
As the name suggests, this burger had crazy layers of flavour from the spicy chipotle sauce with the beef to the jalapeno cheese slice. I would like to name it, ‘living on the wild side’. Incredible juiciness with each and every bite. It is currently on the top of my moms burger list!
I had great expectations from the winning burger but it has to be my least favourite as the dry layer of beef didn’t please my taste buds and it was very heavy to finish it all, especially along with the sides.
My sister had recommended this burger and now I regret but the winning burger had to be tasted. In her words, Just a few slices of pineapple and a kick of sauces takes a simple burger to a whole new level of deliciousness!
French fries (Handcut)
I would suggest to Cajun or Bacon fries than normal fries as it might be a new flavour and an experience as well as hand cut fries were nothing extraordinary.
According to me, onion ring should smoothly get through and feels crispy at the same time. These were literally thick, golden and a side that deserves the love.
Old fashioned Milkshake
This milkshake made with ice cream and fresh strawberries is great on any day! My dad fell in love with it from the very first sip and he is definitely coming back for it. In his words, so creamy and luscious.
We were so full by this time but how can you leave without having dessert? Mr.Mario suggested Pookizie and we weren’t disappointed.
Warm cookie topped with worlds favourite ice cream, vanilla bean, drizzled with Belgium chocolate sauce and little nutty surprises! (Doughn’t you wish you were eating this!?) Ideal for those who prefer having desserts that are not too sweet! To all the dessertarains, this decadent dessert should be on your list!
Special shout out to Mr.Mario D’souza for one of the best services as he kept us updated with each and every detail of the food and the restaurant as well. He even made sure that I am satisfied with the lighting of my pictures and therefore invited me to the kitchen. The atmosphere of the kitchen was filled with smiles and laughter! What an entertaining staff.
Overall, it was a successful discovery of fresh handcrafted burgers. Simple interiors but definitely a hidden gem for all the burger lovers with reasonable pricing. I am going back for the Crazy burger!
