Friday Brunch at Amwaj Rotana, JBR!

Do you fancy a piece of beef, one or two sushi rolls and then finish it off with Nutella crepe? Well, Friday Brunch at Amwaj Rotana has it all!

Friday Brunch at Amwaj is known for it’s all in one package- you get the taste of Italy (Rosso’s), Japan (Benihana) and International delicacies (Horizan All day dining).
Both the restaurants are part of the brunch but have completely different ambience which is brilliant so any individual may settle according to their preference.

We had,

  • Benihana had a peaceful atmosphere with the buffet offering sushi, beef and seafood. As you all know, I am not a fan of sushi so I skipped it. There was one dish that I simply couldn’t resist and no one should, Teppanyaki. The exciting process of choosing the ingredients and the pleasing live cooking for the eyes resulted into a very delicious plate of Teppanyaki. Without any doubt, my favourite part of the brunch! Moreover, guests can wander inside the kitchen and interact with chefs.

  • Rosso’s: Is it just me or we all are sucker for good vibes? It was a party in the afternoon with live music in an easy and fun space (you should book it in advance). The buffet was set up by the end of the restaurant, the variety was limited and I felt that the main dishes were more focused for tourists as there weren’t many halal options however it was definitely the case of quality over quantity because even if the variety was less, all we had was approved by our taste buds (ribs, briyani, mashed potatoes, salads, breads, pork). Dessert counters were sumptuous and interesting but most importantly incredibly delicious with something to please everyone’s sweet tooth. There were treats from cronuts to mango pudding. Not to forget, ending brunch with a chocolate tart is always a good idea.

Overall, it was a successful discovery. I am not sure if I will be back as for the variety is limited as per my liking but I am definitely booking a table at Benihana!
