Do you fancy a piece of kebab, a few sushi rolls and then finish it off with a chocolate waffle? Well, Brunchtopia at Radisson Blu has it all! The brunch offers 200 dishes which includes Emirati (Aseelah), Seafood (Fish Market), Japanese (Minato), Persian (Shabestan), Chinese (The China Club) cuisine.
As soon we stepped out of the lift, we noticed that the buffet spread is all over the floor including the restaurants which were a bit overwhelming and exciting at the same time because I love visiting each part of the buffet and eating a bit from everywhere.
All of the restaurants are part of the brunch but have completely different ambiance which is brilliant so any individual may settle according to their preference. We stayed at Fish Market for most of the brunch, if you are looking for bright white walls with a little bit of sunshine. We literally shifted to Aseelah for desserts and oh, I love the homely atmosphere.
What we liked,
It is difficult to review all 200 dishes but I am going to write about the overall experience.
- Salad, bread, and desserts
Each part of the brunch had all these three main dishes however each of them had a different touch to it depending on the cuisine which clearly means that the variety is unbeatable. For example, you had an option for Indian sweets (barfi, jalebi), Arabic sweets (umm Ali, dates), pastries, waffles, and crepes. Moreover, we had and also, liked the pasta, sushi, kebab, butter chicken, noodles, rice, lemonade, coffee and etc…
- Real experience
I have been to the Fish Market before (you may read the review here) and they offer the exact same concept. All of the seafood is displayed, sides and you choose the main ingredient, vegetables, sauce and how you will like it to be cooked. It’s quite interesting and the chefs are very helpful!
Brunches are usually a little costly for students but DHS 109 isn’t bad at all!
- Kids section
I don’t have kids but I found the wood picnic tables absolutely adorable and a separate buffet along with face painting can bring joy to the kids as well as parents!
What can be better,
I love pecking duck and believe me, I was very excited but it turned out to be our least favorite as it was cold and flavorless.
The services were a led down in the beginning but eventually got better.
Overall, it was a successful discovery as brunch is definitely a steal deal (Also, you get a picture of you to take home).
